🌸 Meet the Easy Bee Team 🌸

Get to know Rhonda in her own words!

I started my first garden in the Moab Valley in 1992. I realized back then how much joy I received from nourishing myself and my friends with the finest food in the land. I have always gravitated towards my relationship with plants in my work life. It feeds my soul.

Easy Bee is a place to express my love for the plant kingdom and share that love with my fellow humans. My favorite part of the job is growing, harvesting, and arranging flowers for the CSA members and the community. I also enjoy working with the enthusiastic Easy Bee Team and our glorious CCO (Chief Compost Officer)- Kevin Clyde.

Missed our pesto? So did we! Luckily we froze a handful of batches from last season! Come to the Farmstand this week to get a jar before they are gone! Farmstand open daily from 9 am to 7pm. (Closed tuesdays)

🌱Have you seen the micro greens in the Easy Bee farmstand? Don’t know what a microgreen is or how to use them?

Microgreens are a great and easy way to add flavor and nutrients to any meal, with no prep needed!

Microgreens and sprouts are both young plants that can be eaten, but they differ in how they’re grown, their flavor, and when they are harvested.

Microgreens are the result of the cotyledon growth stage, which is when the first couple of leaves from a plant appear. Microgreens are grown in nutrient-rich soil and are cut at the stem when harvested. Sprouts are germinated seeds that are grown in water, and harvested before they develop true leaves.

That said, micro greens are more nutritious and have a higher fiber content than sprouts!

Microgreens can take anywhere from 2-5 weeks to reach maturity- where sprouts can be ready in less than a week.
